Types of Springbok cutter
The Springbok range includes two specialised cutter types, each built to handle different challenges in pipe reinstatement and repair.
Down the branch (DTB) cutter
The Springbok motorised DTB cutter is built to cut from the lateral side into the mainline, giving you the ability to open liners from the branch side. Compact but powerful, it’s perfect for confined spaces or hard-to-reach junctions, with capabilities for 75-150mm diameters. Available with a 3:1 or 5:1 motor.
Lateral Cutter
Powered by an air-driven system, the Springbok lateral cutter is designed to reopen laterals in lined pipes from the mainline, using a manually operated handlebar system connected to steel cane rods. The cutter moves smoothly through the pipe diameters of 100-300mm, with full directional control over the cutting head for a clean cut every time.
